Thanks for your interest in Our Community Birth Center! We are doing this work for the benefit of parents, babies, and people in our community for generations to come and thanks to support from community members like you we are getting closer to opening.
In March 2021 we signed a lease on a new space with a goal to open by the end of 2021. Stay tuned for updates and please donate to help get the doors open. Donations of all amounts are helpful and appreciated.

Perinatal Health and Wellness Resources in Lane County
A Certified Nurse Midwife is available to talk with you over email or phone about your options for care in Lane County. We provide counseling about local options for care, taking into account your preferences and goals. We share and discuss options for pregnancy, birth, postpartum, lactation, newborn, and women’s health care in Lane County.

Northwest Mother’s Milk Bank – Donate your extra milk or get milk for your baby. This is a nonprofit milk bank. All milk donors are screened and the milk is pasteurized.

Our Community Birth Center recommends consulting with an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) to discuss risks and benefits of informal milk sharing before making your personal choice about whether or not to participate. A doula is a trained expert in support for pregnancy, labor, birth, postpartum, and perinatal loss. Research shows having a doula improves birth outcomes. Oregon Health Plan Insurance (OHP) pays for doulas! Find a doula who is the right fit for you:

Hilary is donating 100% of proceeds for all placenta encapsulations, including gift certificates, to Our Community Birth Center. Hilary uses the Traditional Chinese Medicine method to create capsules. Benefits may include increased milk supply and decreased depression.
